THE VILLAGE AT NORTHRISE RAISES MORE THAN $11,000 FOR THE ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S® (2023)

[Las Cruces, NM] – February 7, 2023 - The Village at Northrise, a 16-acre Continuing Care Community located at 2884 N. Roadrunner Parkway in Las Cruces, New Mexico, announced today that it raised more than $11,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s®.  The Village at Northrise community provides skilled nursing, senior/assisted living, and independent living services and includes a 24-bed specialized Memory Support Unit.

More than 20 participants from The Village at Northrise joined the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. For their achievement, The Village at Northrise will be presented with a trophy for raising the most funds among Genesis affiliated centers nationwide, their fourth year in a row.  In 2022, Genesis affiliates raised over $140,000 company-wide and has continued to add to their lifetime achievement level of $2,000,000+ for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

“I am continually inspired by The Village at Northrise participants for joining in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said Chief Operating Officer, Melissa Powell. “This year, Genesis also made a $25,000 donation so the Alzheimer’s Association will be able to provide much needed education, support services and care to families affected by this devastating disease, as well as fund critically-needed Alzheimer’s research.”
